Newborn baby Photography in Suffolk
Gentle, in home newborn photography sessions in the comfort of your own home.
About these sessions
My in‑home newborn photography sessions in Bury St Edmunds and across Suffolk are a quiet invitation to stay where you feel most at ease and be photographed in the rooms that are already holding your earliest memories together. The chair you feed in, the bed where you settle them, the soft morning light that feels unmistakably yours. These become the backdrop to your first chapter as a family.
These sessions unfold slowly and gently, always led by your baby. There is no pressure, no performing and nothing you need to prepare. I work calmly around whatever is happening, capturing the tenderness, the tiny details and the instinctive ways you reach for each other in these early days.
Why choose an in‑home newborn session?
• Your home now is the first place your baby will ever know • Babies settle best in familiar, comfortable surroundings • Perfect for introverted families who feel uneasy in front of the camera • No need to travel or rush, simply be together • A quiet, natural way to capture your earliest days as a family.
If this feels like home, let’s capture it together.

You’ll know by spending a little time with the images across my site. Notice how they make you feel, and whether the softness, honesty and calmness resonate with your family. If you’re drawn to natural, unposed moments and photographs that feel like real memories, we’re likely a good fit.
Choosing the right photographer really matters, so a quick chat can help us both feel whether my gentle, unhurried approach is right for you.

Once our session ends, I carefully select and edit your images. Within 7 working days, you’ll receive a First Peek Gallery, a set of highlights to choose from, based on your package. You’ll get a secure PIN to view and share the gallery.
After you’ve chosen your favourites, I edit each one in my natural, signature style. Your final gallery is delivered as high‑quality digital downloads, ready to save, print and treasure.

I usually recommend photographing newborns up to around six weeks old. Babies are still in that dreamy, curled‑up stage, and the early rhythms of feeding and settling create such gentle, natural moments to capture.
But there is never a bad time to have photographs taken. Every age brings something beautiful and honest, and you should never feel you’ve missed any kind of window. Whether your baby is days old or a little further along, your story is still unfolding in a way that deserves to be held.

It’s completely okay if your home is a bit messy. Family homes are lived‑in spaces, and none of that gets in the way of meaningful photographs. I’m looking for connection, light and honest moments, not perfection.
I often work with small pockets of space and soft natural light, and if anything needs gently moving, I’ll take care of it. Your home doesn’t need to be styled; it just needs to be yours, and that lived‑in warmth becomes part of the story.

Your home becomes the setting, not because it needs to be perfect, but because it’s yours. I photograph in the spaces with the softest, most natural light, often the living room, main bedroom, or a child’s play area. These are the places where your family naturally relaxes, and that comfort shows beautifully in the images.

Neutral, earthy tones photograph beautifully indoors creams, browns, soft greens, rusts and gentle textures.
Avoid logos, really strong colours and bold patterns so the focus stays on your connection.
